Easter Egg

One of Christianity’s most important holidays is Easter, celebrating Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead. This holy holiday is a moveable feast, not falling on a fixed date, and always falls on Sunday between March 22 and April 25 every year. This year Easter Sunday is April 16, 2017.

Easter Egg is the story about Easter in the column “Stamptoon” from Khunkha Magazine, told by Mr. Bunny Jr.

On Easter day, Mr. Bunny Jr. invited his animal friends to celebrate.

“Come on, I hid a lot of Easter eggs for your Easter egg hunt. The winner will get the prize,” said Mr. Bunny Jr.

His friends wondered about the origin of the Easter Egg so Mr. Bunny Jr. explained to them.

Easter or Easter Sunday is to celebrate Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day following his crucifixion.

From a Christian perspective, Easter egg is said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection. Since ancient times, the egg has been widely used as a symbol of the start of new life, just like a new life emerges from an egg when the chick hatches out.

Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given out to celebrate the Easter festival. The oldest tradition was using hard-boiled chicken eggs to dye and paint.

An egg hunt is a game for children to find the hidden decorated eggs. When the hunt is over, prizes may be given for the winner.

Good Friday is the day to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Then the third day following his crucifixion is Easter Sunday, a festival and holiday to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

Easter bunny is another symbol of this holiday. Though the exact origin of this myth is unclear, rabbits are an ancient symbol of fertility and new life.

In legend, Easter bunny delivered decorated eggs to well-behaved children on Easter Sunday.

From the Gospels, Jesus Christ’s resurrection marks the triumph of good over evil, sin and death. Those who trust in God and accept Christ will be raised from the dead. And Easter represents the fulfillment of God’s promises to mankind.

HAPPY EASTER!
